I have done much research on dog breeds and would like any personal experience that anyone has had. I have a small child (she will be around 2 when we got the dog), I am a home mom. My husband travels a lot for work soon so I wanted a good watchdog. We have a place with a nice size yard, but the dog is a dog inside. I would like a breed good with kids (more if raised with them), and a good watchdog the dog does not have to be a guard dog, but it would be nice to feel protected. We have no other dogs, however the family visited often with several other dogs in acerage. Any personal experience would be helpful. Thanks for your time! I have been going to the local shelter every week. I'm still doing research and want to make sure of what I want. I do not believe in just buying a dog because it is "cute" and he ends up in a coat.

I can get a dog, especially if you live outside. I just need a way to keep the yard. I don 't think I can get a fence. Do not get something an electric fence dog. If that is my only choice would consider it, but I don 't like it at all. Tie the dog with a rope. I worry that he would get in it and reached hurt. I really don 't know how much awarness have them. But it would probably be to go to if we can 't get a fence. Was there a way to train the dog to stay in the yard? Do you have ideas to share in what could be done? If you are concerned that the dog will become bored, I spend a long time. I'm very much a dog person. If I could leave the dog in the house in no time. Thanks! I forgot to mention that the dog sleep in the house at night. The dog also may come in the days of bad?? No time to play inside and eat. I'm outside with the dog as much as he won 'be t. hole or isolated
